“The World’s only wildlife Park in the capital City ”
Are you visiting Kenya and would like to go birding for a day or two to see a breeding male of Red-collared Widowbird or Saddle-billed Stork or the endemic Sharpe’s Lonclaw and Aberdare Cisticola? How about birding in Kenya and seeing an African Crowned Eagle, or glittering Sunbirds and gorgeous Turacos? All of these birds and many more are possible on birding day trips from Nairobi and aren’t all that difficult to to see in Kenya….if you know where to find them.

Whether you go birding in Kenya on your own or with a guide, birding in here is always exciting. Nevertheless, a local, knowledgeable guide will always be able to show you more, especially if he has stake-outs for species such as Hinde’s Babbler and Grayish Eagle-Owl, Bar-tailed Trogon,Somali Fiscal, Doherty’s Bushshrike and dozens of other birds that are tough to find when birding in Kenya. I know the best places to find these and many of Kenya’s bird species and would be happy to show you them on birding trips to Kenya.
Kenya has a variety of scenery and habitats unrivalled even in Africa: arid deserts, verdant rainforests, rolling grasslands, snow-capped equatorial peaks, lush green hills, cultivated plains, plus the lakes and spectacular escarpments of the Great Rift Valley.
I offer guiding customized to your needs and target species to such sites as Arabuko Sokoke Coastal forest and Shimba Hills national park, highland montane habitats around Mt.Kenya and Aberdare national park, the dryland bushes of Samburu national reserve and Lake Baringo, tropical rainforest of Kakamega and papyrus line shores of Lake Victoria and extensive grassland of Masai Mara national reserve and other sites.
Nairobi National Park is a unique ecosystem by being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. The park is located only 7 km from Nairobi city centre. The savannah ecosystem comprise of different vegetation types. Open grass plains with scattered acacia bush are predominant.

The western side has a highland dry forest and a permanent river with a riverine forest.
Our Nairobi National Park Day Tour visits the best birding spot in Nairobi City; the only capital city in the world to host a national park.
This is one of our most interesting birding destinations globally, and only covers an area large enough for a perfect day trip. It is Kenya’s oldest National Park, located just 7 kilometres from the edge of Nairobi.
Many regard it as Kenya’s capital birding location. In fact over 500 bird species have been recorded in the park. The park is only 117.21 Km2 in size. We shall spend the day in the park birding across the varied habitats that our guide will help you enjoy.
In the late afternoon, we shall return to your hotel, marking the end to our Nairobi National Park Day Tour.

You can visit Arabuko Sokoke year-round. The rain will test your stamina and perseverance on forest hikes in the wetter months, but you’ll have lots more birds, as well as frogs, for company. Alternatively, visit in the drier months, when the sunshine makes getting around much more pleasant.

We fell in love with Africa and in the hands of Fluttfails, well, we don’t need to tell you that we learned everything there is to know about everything that touched our experience. He is the legend! He is a wonder of a man and we all enjoyed one another’s company immensely. Thank you for pairing us with him.
We are Very grateful to have been able to experience this trip of a lifetime.Food was attractive in all places and well served. The children tried new dishes but really enjoyed pastas! Accommodations were quite satisfactory. We will return!
Thank you for providing the different concentrations of wildlife. The guides/drivers were all experts, but I thought Lenard was most personable… All were competent. Having a Masai connection added interest. Without exception the administrators and their staffs were excellent. I appreciated the participation many showed – engaging in soccer with the children, for example.
